Celebrate summer in downtown Austin with the Sixth Annual Austin Duck Derby right on the doorstep of 2ND Street District benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA). Mark your calendars to join BGCAA on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Presented by Kidd Roofing, this truly unique Austin event includes a family-friendly festival and a rubber duck race, which will begin at 11 a.m. with the launch of 19,000eco-friendly rubber ducks into Lady Bird Lake from the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge.
Austinites are invited to participate by adopting one or multiple ducks to compete in the race, with individual prizes to be awarded for top-finishing ducks. Proceeds from adoptions benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area together with the Austin Boys and Girls Club Foundation—ensuring that thousands of local youth can reach their full potential to become productive, caring and responsible citizens.
