2nd Street Birthday Bash
Shoppers Rejoice: 2ND Street District Celebrates Birthday With Night of Entertainment, Food, Cocktails and The Ultimate Shopping Experience

August 23 Birthday Bash in Austin’s Premier Downtown Neighborhood to Include Free Salon Services, 2006 Best of Austin Improv Group, Music, Champagne Toast with Birthday Cupcakes and Gelato, $2,000 Shopping Giveaway and More.
Austin, TX – August 15, 2007 – The 2ND STREET DISTRICT is throwing itself a birthday bash with an evening of live entertainment, food, cocktails and a spectacular shopping event. Thursday, August 23, from 5 to 10 pm, the District is turning up the music, pouring drinks, and giving away the farm – kind of.
Six blocks of the city’s best, distinctly Austin retailers have donated a stylish grand prize giveaway worth more than $2,000. Shoppers can register once at each store they visit during the event for chances to win this ultimate style spree—just in time to perk up wardrobe, home and spirits for fall.
Schedule of Events:
• Party kicks off at 5 pm with live entertainment throughout the District
• 6 pm live photo booth & face painting by the Austin Children’s Museum
• 8 pm Champagne birthday toast, cupcakes from Delish Cupcakes and Paciugo gelato in front of CRU Wine Bar
• 10 pm Drawing for Grand Prize Style Spree

Other Events of Interest: Girl Next Door’s 2ND Street District Grand Opening with Draw Your Discount at checkout for savings of up to 30%. DJ and champagne at Estilo. Launch of Eliza Page’s online store with Bombay Sapphire cocktails. Taverna’s happy hour from 4 to 6 pm, with half-price appetizers and pizza plus drink specials, including $3 Italian margaritas.

This event is free and open to the public.
