Spring is almost upon us! The 2nd Street District is getting ready for the warm weather and sunshine. We've got fantastic activities, deals, and delicious food on the horizon for you to enjoy.

We've put together a list of our favorite activities taking place in March. Good eats, great shopping, and fun activities are just some of the great ways to kick off the spring season. The 2nd Street District is in full bloom!

Austin is one of the most pet-friendly cities in the US, and the 2nd Street District itself is incredibly pet-friendly. You and your furry friend (or friends!) can have an amazing time here. With plenty to eat, drink, and do, the only issue you may have is figuring out what to do.

We’ll give you some of our favorite options, but don’t feel limited to this list. In the 2nd Street District, if you see an outdoor patio at a restaurant, you and your furbaby will be able to enjoy time together there. Many of our shops are also pet friendly so after you have had your fill of delicious eats you can get your shopping on!

One of Austin’s longest-running top restaurants, La Condesa, is celebrating its 14th birthday. Try Hard Coffee owner Raechel Hurd was part of the Condesa pastry team before opening the coffee and record shop, so she’s returning with a live vinyl DJ, coffee specials, and cocktails.

La Condesa, that fine Contemporary Mexican restaurant at 400 W. Second, will celebrate 14 years of business (and its newest James Beard semifinalist nomination) during brunch this Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 25 & 26.

Only one restaurant in Austin was nominated for "Outstanding Restaurant," and the semifinalist is La Condesa. The restaurant describes itself as "where Mexico City meets Austin”.
