Where to dine for Valentine’s Day

What would Valentine’s Day be without a romantic candlelit dinner? There’s no better place for an intimate evening with the one you love than at one of the 2nd Street District’s many dining establishments. Whether you’re looking for a night out on the town or a more casual evening in the comfort of your own home, the 2nd Street District has you covered no matter what vibe you want to set. 

February is known for its bitter chill, but CRÚ’s Wine, Dine, and Be Mine four-course extravaganza is a meal worth getting out of the house for. From 5 pm to 9:30 pm, the CRÚ Food & Wine Bar chefs are serving up a prix fixe menu that includes a simmer lobster bisque, followed by a Maine lobster saffron risotto, a mouthwatering rack of rosemary-crusted lamb, and your choice of vanilla creme brulee, New York style cheesecake, or molten chocolate cake for dessert. All this for an unbeatable price of $70 per guest. If you can’t make it on February 14th, CRÚ will also be running Valentine’s Day specials on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th. Be sure to book early because seats are sure to fill up. 

Appetites vary, but if you and your special someone love a juicy porterhouse or ribeye, then look no further than III Forks for a truly unforgettable steak dinner. III Forks offers a Texas take on the classic upscale steakhouse, with perfectly seared USDA prime steak and flaky fresh seafood that melts in your mouth. And for those embracing the single life and wanting a fun time out with friends, check out the Drag Brunch and Bubbles at Jo’s Coffee hosted by Lawrie Bird on February 11th. From 12 to 3 pm, grab yourself a stack of pancakes and listen to performances by Iggy Bank,Brigitte Bandit, andOwie. Arrive by 1 pm to claim your seat. Tickets are $25 a person and include bottomless mimosas.
